Launched iolAMD, a revolutionary new intraocular lens implant for the treatment of Age-related Macular Degeneration. Created branding and identity, copy, campaign concept, promotional materials, and website.
“iol” = intraocular lens, (implanted in the eye), and “AMD” = age-related macular degeneration, the leading cause of blindness worldwide. We used a swoosh in the center to indicate that it is a lens, but also to separate iol from AMD.
The campaign imagery was an indication of how the lens worked in the eye, but it was also an indication of a brighter future, a life lived more fully, and the optimism that for the first time in history, there is hope for millions of sufferers of AMD to regain their sight. Integrated professional and consumer campaigns were a resounding success, exceeding all client projections.
